Our talks will kick off with Bruce Milletto, the founder of Bellissimo Coffee Advisors and coffee industry veteran of over 30 years. Bruce will share the most fundamental things to get right before opening and illustrate his advice with stories of coffee businesses he himself consulted with. Bruce will cover:

After a break for lunch, our lead barista trainer and equipment technician, Dillon, will guide you through all things equipment for your new venture. Most coffee shops stick with their equipment for 10 years or more, not to mention the significant investment your equipment requires as you start out. This guidance is crucial to avoiding costly and stressful issues down the line. Dillon will cover:

  • What equipment you need to consider for your shop
  • The pros and cons of various types of machines, grinders, etc.
