Anthony Bianco

Anthony Bianco

Barista Trainer

Anthony is from The Dalles originally, but moved around a bit before moving to Portland and starting work with us. Like many baristas before him, Anthony is also a thespian and an active member of Actors Equity Association. Anthony earned his BFA in theatre in Ashland, and then moved to Illinois for an MFA program in acting. It was during this time that he began working in coffee, and he has lived a double life ever since. After graduating, he relocated again to Denver to where he worked for 3 seasons at the Denver Center as an actor and helped his wife receive her PhD in Psychology from DU. His love of coffee grew even more when living in Albuquerque, where he was a founding employee of a new specialty coffee shop (Prismatic Coffee) at the end of February 2016. He’s a self professed homebody, but he says being a barista helped him to socialize with people who he wouldn’t have known otherwise when he moved back to Oregon. He loves working as a trainer in the American Barista & Coffee School because it is the best of both worlds: a vibrant community from all around, and high quality, delicious coffee.

In his free time, Anthony loves going on date nights with his wife of 7 years (who he has known half of his life), playing with their Bernese mountain dog puppy, acting, any fun foodie things happening in the area, and drinking Ethiopian coffee (his favorite, always).

Aurora Meyers

Aurora Myers

Head of Digital Marketing - Online Barista Training

Aurora is a San Francisco Native but has been a Pacific Northwest transplant for the past 6 years. She graduated from the University of Portland with a degree in Environmental Ethics & Policy and Entrepreneurship & Innovation Management. Aurora started a business teaching office yoga while in school and has been instructing all over the city for the past 3 years. In addition to teaching, she started a brand to raise awareness about mental health and the stigma surrounding mental illness. In the process of all of this she discovered her passion for design, digital marketing, and using social media to create social change. Aurora is new to the coffee industry but has already fallen in love with the intricacies of making a good cup of coffee, as well as the generosity and passion of the people within the industry. In her spare time, you can find her creating content for her e-books on yoga for mental health, hopping in and out of handstands, or sipping on some coffee (which she previously didn't do for the first 22 years of her life!).

Aurora has an extensive background in branding, content creation & marketing. Over the past several years she has created 1k+ pieces of original content, built & designed websites, crafted social media campaigns with participants from 20+ countries, and consults with authors and entrepreneurs to help them scale their businesses. She feels incredibly lucky and grateful to have joined the team as the Head of Digital Marketing for Online Barista Training, and is constantly inspired by the entrepreneurial spirit of new coffee shop owners. She hopes that OBT can be a resource in helping others pursue their passion, allowing them to focus on the fun & creative aspects of opening up a coffee shop.
